WILLIAM HAROLD LAMB [02/13/1933 - 05/11/2013]

http://stithfuneralhome.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=68&action=1&value=12&obituaries_action=2&obituaryid=143568

William (Bill) Harold Lamb, of Union, born February 13, 1933, passed away May 11th after a long illness. Preceding him in death was his wife of 57 years, Charlsey Coates Lamb; his Parents, Bessie and David Crocket Lamb; his Brothers Charles Lamb, Dave Lamb, James Lamb, Ray Lamb and Sister Rena Kennedy. He leaves his Daughter Stacey (Mark) Adams, Grandchildren Jessica (Sam) Rulli and Matthew Adams; as well as a Great Granddaughter, Olivia Rulli. He is also survived by his Sisters; Libby Brannon, Jean (J.W.) Scalf and Ruth (Dave) Petrik. Born number 9 out of 10 children, Mr. Lamb grew up in the Latonia area, where the family was very well known and part of a tight knit community. Along with all of his siblings, Bill graduated from Holmes High School (Class of 1950). That was quite an accomplishment in those days, but their family placed a high value on education. Always a hard worker, Mr. Lamb was a teenager when he started working after school at a Covington deli and then at the B&O Railroad. After serving in the Korean War, he attended the Ohio Mechanical Institute and spent over 40 years working at The Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company (now Duke Energy), as an Electrical Engineer. Speaking to his work ethic, he only missed two days of work in 40 years. He spent his whole life in Northern Kentucky and thought there was no better place to be or be from. He was an honest, hardworking man who could fix just about anything and was always happy to lend a neighbor or family member a hand. He was a man of few words, and if he could have written his epithet, it would probably be something like “I am ready to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for meeting me is another matter.”
[Sign Guestbook] [View Guestbook]
